We are a people centric organisation, and always will be. The challenges of the last 12 months have meant we have had to focus even more on supporting our people to thrive.
Our ‘waka’ is a model for the Outward Bound People Experience. We developed this to ensure we are focusing on the holistic needs of our team and fulfilling our aspiration of being a world leading workplace.
This has enabled us to focus on initiatives that will have the most difference, such as launching a Hauora (wellbeing) programme, Resilience workshops, Team Management Profiling (TMP) and coaching. As a result, we have enjoyed high retention rates, engagement survey results we are proud of, and a team that continues to diversify and operate in more flexible, sustainable and modern ways. There is always more work to do, and our people are the heart of Outward Bound.
